JULIAN WAGNER
Julian has received his Bachelors of Science from Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College in both Mathematics and Biology after transferring from Las Positas College and is now a PhD Candidate at CalTech in Biology.
JULIAN'S STORY
Livermore, CA | Las Positas College
I attended Las Positas via dual enrollment while in high school. This allowed me to take advanced math courses and obtain a large number of under division credits before going to a four year. These credits made the process of double majoring in Mathematics and Biology much more attainable.

ADVICE I WOULD GIVE
This might sound cliche but your academic opportunity and attainment largely depends on taking advantage of the opportunities around you. In high school I took classes at the community college to make sure I was ready and ahead in undergrad. I attended a state school (Arizona State University) due to a scholarship. I took advantage of the research opportunities here and built up a CV which gave me many options for where to go to grad school for a Biology PhD. I am now having a blast at Caltech!
